I’ve never actually received anything I’ve ordered from Aliexpress in all price ranges. Found their response to refunds because the item never turned up to be poor. In fact, they wouldn’t refund and the only option was a chargeback on the credit card.

So, I would never recommend it to anyone at all.

That sounds quite unusual, were these reputable dealers with good feedback?

I've had something like 240 successful orders via AliExpress and 1 really high value order via Alibaba wholesale. Of the AliExpress orders I've had 3 failed to show up and claiming these via their claim/refund system was slowish but no real issue. I've had far worse experiences with trademe sales ( both buying and selling).

Yes, they have been highly rated. My last attempt was for a car accessory that couldn’t be purchased in NZ, the factory original would’ve taken 3 months to get from the manufacturer. The mechanic sent me the link from a seller they used to order parts from themselves, $300 later and it never showed and ended up just waiting for the manufacturer part at $800.

Aliexpress kept kicking the can down the road the seller kept saying it would arrive next week, after 3 months it clearly wasn’t arriving everyone wiped their hands of the sale and Aliexpress sided with the seller. Yet another credit card charge back.
