When I was wheelchair bound trying to maneuver the chair and hold an umbrella was a skill I never mastered. If the weather was too foul I just didn't go out. I now use a coat but still avoid cold wet days as it causes considerable pain.
My wife has given up on going out on bad days and works from home. Over lockdown she realised that she was way more productive working from home. No down time travelling between meetings and she was able to have far more meetings a day and the meetings were more focused. She recorded he highest quarterly sales results over lockdown and well and truly blitzed her yearly targets.
The lesson herein, avoid the expense of an umbrella, eliminate the hassle and pain of the winter rain stampede, work from home where it is warm and dry and no spiked eyes and get a hell of a lot more work done.
Oh and as a foot note the weather in Te Whanganui-a-Tara today is bollocks.
