I got an arlec wifi one at bunnings for $99 I think. Only problem is that the bright blue wifi connected LED is the only one that you cant turn off, so its too bright at all times and its a translucent plastic case so blacking out the LED doesnt help too much.

You're able to turn the lights off on this fan, but only with the remote/phone app I think (not with the fan buttons). Would be nice if these fans remembered your settings.

Wakrak:

They can run pretty slow and is whisper quiet at that level (level 1). It does have somewhat of a humming noise to it though when in oscillation mode (the motor I think). Has taken me a while to get used to it when in bed and the world of Frankton, Hamilton is mostly quiet. Some GZ members discuss the fan noise of this particular model here.

Some of the comments over at Cheapies might be helpful for you as well. Everyone has a different ear.

Edit* changed 'clicky' to 'hum'.

Thank you for that

They bring in the stock during the season then put it on clearance to clear what they can once the season is over. When the next season starts coming in (winter heating) they'll revert the fans back to normal price and send them to their DC to be stored until summer.

Ahh I see. Good to know thank you. Learn something new on Geekzone everyday, though it seems so obvious now that you've explained it.
