Just had a look at the phones. Found a Pixel 4a but when I clicked on it

"$602.75

This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location."

So much for this store delivering to my NZ address.

Yeah, I've hit that a couple if times,

It appears to be from sellers who are not in Australia, but based in other Amazon locations (UK etc) they have provisioned their offerings to ship to OZ, but have not updated their coverage to include NZ...

Here's hoping that its just waiting on those sellers to update their coverage...

Not somewhere I will be shopping at. I vehemently dislike Amazon/Bezos employment and business ethics.

Everyone to their own I guess.  I find Amazon quite good.

As others have said, the range is limited at this stage (at least for what I searched for).

I'll add them to my list for suppliers to price shop with and hopefully over the next few months more suppliers will add NZ as a shipping option.

True. But should your ire be at least partly reserved more for the legislators that allow their behaviour to be (presumably) perfectly legal (not that they have to take such ruthless advantage of it of course) ?

Levi's 511 Jeans, $175 :(

No thanks.

I got a pair of these from Just Jeans for $80 a few weeks ago.

I notice that they don't even sell the Amazon Fire tablets on the Ozz site.  Plenty of accessories though.  You  can buy the Fire tablets  here in NZ if you look around .

Yeah, Just Jeans would be my go to for them.

Amazon US is pretty good (and they have a good range of colours), just they won't ship direct to NZ.

I had a laptop riser and cell phone holder in my cart at US Amazon for $108 NZD.

Just priced the same items at AU Amazon for $89.

Good news I guess, but, like others have stated, I don't like supporting a business that treats workers as poorly as Amazon does. Add to that the recent news that they have been dumping masses of new product in the UK, and lying about it, makes this a company that I'm reluctant to give money to.

I'll only purchase from Amazon if exclusive. If there is a alternative supplier of the same product, I'll go there first.

Wakrak:

Edit* Good time to test out Amazon AU Prime 1 month free trial. They just gave me a $15 off $15.01 spend code.

"These terms and conditions apply to Australian Prime members (free trial memberships only – excludes Prime members on paid) who have not previously made a shopping purchase on amazon.com.au or the amazon app in previous 12 months ("Eligible Prime Members"). These Eligible Prime Members can receive $15 off their purchase when they spend more than $15 of eligible item(s) and redeem the promotional code 'WELCOME15' at checkout via the Amazon app or amazon.com.au"

What does the Prime trial get an NZ resident - I couldn't work it out from the site. Does it impact our delivery costs?

Would buying from Amazon mean that you don't get the protections from CGA?

You'd get the protections of Australian Consumer Law, which also applies to NZ consumers of Australian businesses. But other than that, the CGA also applies to Australian businesses selling to NZ

Looks like a number of Amazon devices like Fire Sticks or Echo Show's aren't available to NZ Residents.

At this stage there's no difference between Prime and non-Prime shipping costs (From what I can tell). If anything, access to exclusive codes and deals.
