Ok so not just me then. I guess where there is smoke there is fire.

I ended up ordering from Playtech. Was shipped the next day. So now waiting on NZ Post.

Wow I can order an item in stock and it doesn't say it will ship until Weds.

That's six days lmao.

I just had the same. But to be fair they are probably slammed right now with pre-Christmas/Auckland is locked down and bored orders.

We're in like week a million of lockdown though, it's not like it suddenly happened.

Yeah this is what really gets to me. It's no longer a surprise that we are under pressure. Delays and blaming WFH etc are all just smokescreens for poor planning and business practices in my opinion.

Being a Kogan company, it's almost certain that Mighty Ape now has "in stock" items that are actually only in stock in Hong Kong, and shipped to the Auckland warehouse only when someone orders them. Hence six day wait for shipping.

On Oct 10th I ordered a PS5 controller & Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart bundle, they were in stock ready to ship the next day. Although I figured it would be a few extra days with the lockdown and the shipping might take a bit longer. I also signed up to 3 months of Primate.

I never heard anything about the order again, but a few days ago I checked and the estimated delivery date was early December (!) Both products are still in stock and "ship tomorrow" even now by the way.

So I cancelled the order and emailed them about Primate. Since I hadn't used it, I hoped they would cancel my membership, and they did. I thought that was nice of them to refund the Primate membership.

I look forward to buying from them again once delays have calmed down, but wow I still don't understand why it would potentially take 2 months to receive something in stock to ship tomorrow :/

100% this. I dont blame the companies for postal delays. Thats on NZ Post and Courier Companies. Im a little bit staggered that they have not learned from the earlier lock downs.

Possibly for some things, but I don't think it's generally true - I can't believe you'd get anything from Hong Kong to Auckland in 6 days, certainly not without extortionate shipping costs for priority air freight, and their shipping costs haven't changed.

I've noticed there have been far, far fewer price drops on items that I have long wishlisted and monitored prices for. Certainly the daily deals etc are now usually just cheap placky tat.

That was my exact same scenario, though mine was on October 4th (same product/bundle).

I cancelled my MA order and ordered from The Warehouse instead (they have the same bundle), and picked it up later that day.

I've noticed the "tardy" shipping as well. Just logged on and checked Far Cry 6. If I ordered right now (Thursday PM) it says it would ship on Monday. Their workforce must be way down at the warehouse.

Not sure what they can really do, as far as I know they have one Warehouse in Auckland so are functioning under lockdown, which slows down the process and then they  also have a massive increase in orders.  Unlike other companies that have locations outside of Auckland where they can fulfil from.

Are you near a JB Hifi branch? They have it cheap for same day pick-up (if you're in Level 3) - got a copy recently.
