MikeB4:

We have a collection of constitutional documents and statutes that can be combined into a constitution.

Edit; although I opened this pandoras box I feel that this should be taken up in a seperate thread.

100% support the idea of a dedicated thread - thought you were suggesting a totally new and separate constitutional document as opposed to the framework we have now.

You can bet her lawyers have advised her to set up the non profit organisation so it doesn’t look as if her and the lawyers are out for money. The fact that she accepted money already to help 'heal' her says enough.

As I said before if he was a supermarket stacker this wouldn’t even be a story. Note the money many of these women make from what is actually a legal form of blackmail. Sleep with me and then I can say whatever I like about the 'ordeal' and my lawyer will cut a deal for millions which I can rinse and repeat a few times more when the cash runs out.

You can’t dump all the responsibility on only one person in the duo when there was consensus until the aroma of money formed in the nose of the aggrieved.

I in no way wish to diminish genuine cases of abuse, male or female and especially where young children are involved I’d like to send them to a country where justice is an eye for an eye or worse.

That's for a criminal trial. This is a civil case. Not sure that right applies in a civil trial. (I mean, you could still refuse to answer - but not answering can be used against you).

I'd be very surprised if the ceremonial military commands are ever returned. It's clear the veterans don't want his name and picture in the bar or in the barracks. The royal title is probably not coming back after this either.

I have two sons that served and if the NZDF military titles were returned to him they would return their service medals.

The titles are being handed out to other royals is my understanding so he would ever get them back anyway.

Because those other royals deserve them, obviously.

What a load of victim bashing bilge and misogynist tropes.

again you have no idea , She sued Maxwell for defamation in 2015, and the case was settled in Giuffre's favor for an undisclosed sum in 2017.  And it turns out she was right. The second case was again for defamation against the famous lawyer Alan Dershowitz. She has made no money from the sex side and Prince Andrews is the first one she sued and she only did that because he said he had never met her or had sex with her.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

The Military aren't all knights in shining armour. This quote was from 2012

"But a former top soldier who didn't want to be named told 3 News “this is a big can of worms that is swept under the carpet in any camp or base in New Zealand or overseas, where our females are serving”.

He continued, “If you were to visit any female barracks on an Army, Air Force or Naval base here in New Zealand, you would find a young female soldier with a story of rape or assault.''

There was a subsequent program "Operation Respect" launched in 2016 and reviewed in 2020. A major problem was identified as the Code of Silence that exists amongst military personnel.

Even if he wins the case?

I really don't like the guy but it does seem as though the court of public opinion doesn't need to bother with the case to know he's guilty.

SaltyNZ:

In a civil trial, he's much less likely to be in front of a jury. Just a judge, who will do their professional level best to ignore everything in the media.

For some reason I thought civil trials in the US used juries too.

@SJB his association. With Epstein and co is clear, that alone should rule him out of any royal duties and titles

Looks as if the answer is "it's complicated".
