Geektastic: What heat? Our house is 18 C according to the air conditioning control panel.....

I suppose it would be asking too much for you to open your windows and doors to share it with the rest of us?

I had it so cold last night that there was condensation on the OUTSIDE of the double glazing 😎

Friend of mine had the same problem at their place yesterday. In the meantime here's the view from outside the room I'm in:

There's a bit of cloud and it's later in the day, on a clear day around 4pm and without cooling running that metal frame hits 60 degrees.

Edited to add: Oops, realise I was missing a question. So, should I ask a general sort of question or something specific?

English idioms are another similar instance. I might scream if I hear one more incorrect use of the phrase "I could care less." when that is not what is meant at all.

As a rhetorical question then - why don't people pay more attention at school?

That reminds me of a quiz game I had as a young fella.

It had a story of how a suspect was being interviewed by the police and they asked how he came to discover the deceased person on a wintery evening.

"Well, I was out taking a walk and as I went past the house something in the window caught my eye.  I wiped the condensation from the window and spotted the dead body inside."

How did the copper know he was guilty?

Was it the same guy who said “There’s many a lisp between the cup and the lip”?
