Watercare are doing work around the city at the moment to see where stormwater and wastewater are being mixed joined incorrectly.

Have you had a letter like this from watercare recently?

Might be the work to fix something if you have had this letter?

The timing with the new owner may be unrelated.

Check on the council GIS maps.

Whenever i am doing cable locations, if I put a number its the depth in metres to the cable. All the other utilities are usually marked in the same way, and often I'll extend my markings to show more than the specified work area just in case.

Some driveways are split - as in several land parcels have a knob 1 metre wide going down the driveway so all the landowners need to work together, rather than doing cross-access easements.  Its also a trick to make smaller land parcels by including part of the driveway as part of a land parcel. In this case, they may have asked a general surveyor to come out and make markings and the surveyor just placed the marks for the land parcel which may mean nothing.

Nope.

Of course if they find they need to do work they might then drop a note in our letter boxes. Especially if they're going to dig up and/or the drive. As that's going to impact a number of peoples' access to their homes
