You should get someone to check the radiation leakage on that thing. My Grandparents had a really old one, and holy mackerel when they tested it, it was terrifying.

My parents had a National TV, it worked beautifully for decades. Eventually ended up having to throw it away.

My Wahl Super Taper hair clippers bought in 1998. I haven't paid for a hair cut in the 25yrs since. The only maintenence I've had to perform is a quick once over with the blades on a sharpening stone every ~2yrs.

They were my go-to for a very long time.
I did a hairdressing apprenticeship and was told in no uncertain terms that the Wahl Supertaper was the best clipper on the market and should be the first thing I buy after a comb, scissors and blowdryer.
I still have them, 35+ years later
