Can't remember how long I had mine, not a year yet/ It's manual...but I only adjust it maybe every couple of weeks, if once a week, so lack of a motor isn't really a pain. It was also only $350
Just a simple melamine top, which is easy to clean.

I have the Bamboo Standing desk from standdesk.co.nz.
I love it. The bamboo finish is beautiful, although it has a few streaks that look like the varnish didn't get applied properly? (it's lighter). But maybe that's the intention.
The wobble is sort of disappointing to be honest. Expected less of it, but it's manageable. I do have the longest desk option. My monitor stand isn't very stiff. Could even just be because I have my desk on a carpet...
Looking around, these two options seem pretty good:
160kg rating, dual motors, 700 - 1200 span, 25mm top, looks to be 3 stage leg setup.
Not very quick moving (2.2cm/s), but faster (3.3?) if you pay for the taller span setup.
Alternatively the Standesk option, either in Bamboo or Birchwood.

Same deal, 3 stage legs and dual motors, includes a cable tray and the intermediate 'essential' option looks sufficient.
64 – 127cm span, 5cm per second travel speed, 120kg weight.
I needed a custom size and wanted a slightly deeper desk than any off the shelf ones I could see. I used a pine panel equivalent to this
I've cut this to 1.5m x 750mm and then bought the frame to mount it. the 30mm thickness means it can take a lot of gear with no warping.

Good quality & good finish. Super solid, no wobble. If you can, go for the faster speed.

As an update, I decided to purchase an essentials Bamboo desk from StandDesk.co.nz. Super tough choice, but I couldn't resist the look at that bamboo.
I got this from mighty ape a few months ago. I see its $499 now but i got it on sale for $399
It's fairly basic but it does have a motor and has been working well for me

Jaxson:
Which colour flavour did you go with, the natural or browner bamboo option?
Apologies for the late reply.
I went with the darker browner option.

Also let's fully geek this out and get excited about cable management.
What's everyone's experiences with this?
Tips and comments appreciated.
Jaxson: Turns out the wider height span is a 3 stage leg setup, and the standard slower is a 2 stage, so yeah - will go for the faster speed option at about $80 more.

How long have you had this desk?
Any problems?
Had the desk for 3 months. So far no issues. Motor is quiet enough so as not to interfere with music or video calling, thankfully no scratches yet even though lots gets dumped on the desk & all my other comments previously.

I did get the cable tray. It's a long, rectangular tube that flips open via latches. Holes in the ends & in the middle rear for cablews to exist, otherwise enclosed. This has an impact if you have something that requies a cable & is not centered or on the ends of your desk. For me that would be a USB charger or external drive. The latches make working on the trays very easy. The one thing I got caught out on is the monitor stand vs. the cable tray. I didn't want to drill a hole, so got the clamps for the monitor stand. This interferes with the cable tray opening smoothly & all the way. If the monitor simply stands on the desk, there would be nothing under the desk interfering with the cable try.
One thing I'm still trying to figure out is how to hide the incoming power cable nicely. My SO is OCD & doesn't want to see the power cable simply hanging down somewhere. Clamping it to the leg is difficult because of the movement.

Just looping back on this.
I went with the uno furniture evolve option and it's been really good.

Extra heigh range allows you to lower it beyound standard and raise it higher, though I don't need to go that high anyway.
It also gives you the 3 stage legs and the faster 3cm/s speed (minimum I'd recommend) over the slower (glacial) 2cm/s standard legs.
Strength is good, top looks quality, accessories are all quality, and most importantly it's solid and stable to use. Installation wasn't that hard and shipping was free.
I've used a cable sleeve to keep all the cables together, so this is the only piece you see going up and down with the desk top.

Still happy, still no scratches
