When screwing, it helps to apply some soap, vaseline or wax - makes it easier to drive it in.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Is that with a screwdriver or just in general? :P

If you are reassembling something plastic with screws, first rotate the screw counter clockwise until it 'hops' into the original thread before screwing it in.
Sometimes there are two positions where it "hops". The right position is the less obvious (smaller) hop just before the larger "hop". Hard to describe, but if you screw it in in the wrong "hop", you'll notice increased resistance (compared with the resistance when originally unscrewing it) as it cuts a new thread.

If you're meeting any resistance at all, just stop. This isn't 1963 you know.

Easiest way to peel a banana is from the non-stalk end - pinch and peel. Monkeys know this - they’ve done it that way for months.
They also eat their own poo...been doing it for years.

I hate rubber gloves for household tasks. I have always found them awkward to use. They are bulky, hard to get off unless oversize, just generally clumsy and unhandy. They get in the way so much that I generally end up taking them off so I can feel whatever I am working on.
Then I discovered disposable surgical gloves. Someone left a box behind and one day I thought why not? What an improvement! They are generally strong enough for most tasks and they don't get in the way or interfere with touch sensitivity. It is easy to sometimes forget I even have them on. I find them ideal for household cleaning chores, emptying rat traps and kitty litter boxes, scrubbing toilets, just about anything else one might want rubber gloves for. When finished I just remove and dispose. They are not expensive and every new pair is clean and fresh.

If you haven't already discovered them, nitrile disposable gloves are awesome for tougher tasks where a latex or vinyl glove might rip or tear.

Good point. I looked into them but they are more expensive for something that just gets thrown away. I find latex gloves work fine for most of my needs.
