I recall my mum telling me to make sure I'm home by 6:30 sharp every night for dinner, whether I wanted it or not, until I was 16. I was allowed to go to the local mall and hang out with friends, or the pools, or to a friend's house but I had to call when I got there and let her know who's house.
She never said I couldn't go anywhere, but I guess I made reasonable choices.
As long as I was home by 6:30pm for dinner, the rest of the afternoon was up to me. I often stayed home anyway and played videogames.
