RedBull: Ok... so my mate found out today that she is pregnant... she is 17.
She is FREAAAKING OUT.. And has no idea to do. She doesnt know if she should tell her parents or not? becuase they are strict? she doesnt have many people to talk to.

Any way i can help her??!?

Us geeks will get together and write a program which will calculate the various scenerios and possible conclusions and will print out the best solution for you...

For this program, you will need to provide us with all the paramaters, such as:
- Time of conception
- Due date
- Age of female and male involved
- Attitude of female and male towards raising a child
- Occupation of male
- Bank balance of male
- Type of car male drives
- Type of music male likes
- Current living arrangements of female and male
- A physiological background of males entire family
- Religious views/background of female, male and both families concerned
- If any family member has a gun license and guns on the property

Right...once we have all that, we will start coding the program which will print out exactly what you need to do.

I agree with SepticSceptic; She needs to sit down with her parents and discuss these things; on what to do next. Teenage pregnancies are a growing number in NZ; and although her parents maybe strict; guess who will be there to help her through the whole ordeal----HER PARENTS----.

Yes they will be disappointed and yes not pleased at all, however this is what she has to face for the situation she is in. But alas, she will need to tell them anyway.

As a parent of 4 girls, I can say hand on heart; that as a parent you do everything you can do, to support your child; as you will if you decide to keep your baby. You have the unconditional love no matter what they do or what disappointments they chuck at you. This I am sure her parents will do as well - along with the long lecture that she will inevitably face.

In the end "BITE THE BULLET" and tell them and as a friend you should encourage her to do so; as they will be the ones that will support her both physically; emotionally and financially; as her friend of an age as young as you, I would say you are not equipped to be able to provide this for her. (However still be there to emotionally support her; I am sure you can do this) She needs her mum right now. This will be the best friend that will help her through this whole situation.

Adamal: She should also talk with the guy who got her in that state and plan about what they BOTH want to do. They're both guilty partners in crime in this one.

Anyway, they need to talk it over, maybe with their parents, or a doctor, someone close who they can get good advice from it, because at that age, it would be a big responsibility to bring a child into the world
