Yeah I bought ticket(s) to a show at THE EDGE a little while ago, can't remember if they have their own ticketing system or whether they use one of the ones mentioned above but I felt very hard done by over the additional charges tacked onto the shows already high price of $90 per ticket.

Its also convenient how they spring it on you right at the end while you're entering your CC details and not before.

The fun and games begin when for some reason the event is canceled. It might have been sorted now, not sure but I remember in past it being argued that you still got your tickets so the ticket service has been provided and service fee not refundable.

As for waiting line at Armageddon in Christchurch wasn't as horrific as it looked, was through it in about 15 minutes, rather line up for that time then extra $5-$8.

As for Hoyts they were giving away free pop corn if pay with visa, so used card at counter expecting to be charged $1 as per buying online, but still cheap pop corn, to my surprise no extra charged. Free pop corn not on offer but been using card since and not been charged extra, I'm sure arranging everything from scratch in person must tie up more staff time, but apparently it's the cheaper way to purchase.

Slighty OT but anyone planning to goto the ITM400 next weekend are encouraged to get tickets sorted ASAP as if you goto the event and buy tickets at the gate, the Ticketek surcharge is $25!!

for some tickets I'm buying for an event in the United States, despite me choosing Ezy Ticket, I get nailed with a $6.40 Convenience Charge per ticket!! Curse Ticketbast_rd

Wonder what the convenience fee entails
