eracode: Drop him for good. The guy is simply a total dickhead.
BraaiGuy: I think Paul Henry looks remarkable similar to Anand Satyanand
semigeek: Paul Henry has been suspended until 18th October without pay for his comments about the Governor General yesterday on Breakfast. He did apologise. PC madness gone crazy?
NonprayingMantis:M_I_C_H_A_E_L:Handsomedan: I agree with TVNZ's comment that he says what many of us quietly think.
Agreed. Seems like everybody is to scared or nervous to say something that may be seen as "racist". Good on you Paul. Cant wait to see you back on the Screens.
IMO there is a clear difference between something that could be misinterpreted as racist, and something that is clearly racist. Paul Henry's comment on the governer general falls squarely in the latter camp - i.e. clearly racist.
M_I_C_H_A_E_L:
As I said yesterday, if somebody is going to represent NZ on the world Stage then we would want somebody who looks "Kiwi". Lets say you just came to this world and for example you stood the GG and the Pakistan (just an example) President/Prime Minister side by side, how would you no which one represents NZ?
M_I_C_H_A_E_L:
Ive got absoloutley no problem with people from other countries living here in NZ, so long as they abbide (Spelling?) by our rules and dont try and bring there own.
I dont think it was Racist really. We live in New Zealand, not some other foreign country. But then again how do you classify a "kiwi/Nzer" - It is a very hard thing to do. For example somebody of asian descent, born in NZ - would they be acknowledged as a Kiwi or an asian?

BraaiGuy: all these issues are tiny in comparison to the sort of racism europeans are exposed to in South Africa.
BraaiGuy: This is just being made out to be racist because Anand
Satyanand is a man of colour. That's all, if he was a European their
would be no issue.
BraaiGuy:
I am South African European and I would not have been at all offended if I was asked this question by Paul Henry. This is just being made out to be racist because Anand Satyanand is a man of colour. That's all, if he was a European their would be no issue.
wellyg33k: I think anyone who thinks Henry was right to say what he did yesterday is a redneck moron.
langers1972:BraaiGuy: all these issues are tiny in comparison to the sort of racism europeans are exposed to in South Africa.
Europeans exposed to racism in South Africa, as opposed to the liberal freedoms offered to the black africans during the apartheid regime?
That's because if he wasn't a man of colour the question wouldn't have been asked, that's the whole point
BraaiGuy:
You clearly have no understanding about the current situation in South Africa
BraaiGuy:
Back to topic, this is being blown out of proportion because it happened to a man of colour.
