I just bought one... Before I was reading my books on Kindle for Androd - now I can ditch that handset (I was only carrying it because of the books).

I have bought books from The Nile and the stup is like Amazons and given the obvious link in name and the format I very much got hte impression that they were an NZ offshoot of Amazon.  The books seem to be sourced from the US and the UK.  Very eficient and loads of choice.

Link is

http://www.thenile.co.nz/

Anyone else used them?

Mainly purchase DVDs and Blurays from Amazon UK. Just got some recently and, taking shipping into account, I saved over $140 on the NZ prices (and that's on 6 films). I also tend to buy some DVDs from EzyDVD in Oz, but not as much now as the UK is cheaper.

Ironically, before moving to NZ five years ago from the UK, I use to buy DVDs from EzyDVD because they were cheaper than UK prices.

I have also noticed that most of the time there is a big difference in price and shipping between Amazon US and Amazon UK. The UK site is usually quite a bit cheaper. The last CD I ordered was going to be almost double the price including shipping from the US store compared to the UK store...
