jtbthatsme: It was my attempt at a tree pun. Maybe i should leaf that to more skilled people.

It transpires no-one understood you.

jtbthatsme: Mike the problem with that is that as this was about the type of tree not some funny thing it would appear that we are just barking up the wrong path and have been rooted out in this line of thinking.

:-)

Yes, I agree, it is hard to beleaf.

Oh look someone else has twigged to the idea of puns about trees. Just to think i was pineing over the decision whether to remove my update of this thread.

Maybe we need to give this thread a spruce up. It seems to have become overgrown and in need of prune

I'd be barking mad if I thought you were stumped and had no other branches of the topic to explore.

jtbthatsme: Well i'm a little disappointed I thought there would be a lot more sarcasm here and I only looked in case the tree was needing a name not a species / variation waaa.

I woulda suggested Steve or Bob or something like that. Either that or give it a girls name but i just think that would be sappy.

henceforth the tree, otherwise known as podocarpus elatus, shall be known as STEVE.
