Thats a worry as I'm a very long way from picking up! But who could blame me for considering them with their cheaper prices that are in line with USA prices.

Agreed will all the replies :)

Including the ones which say good, have bought a few phones there, nothings gone wrong, apart from the fact there is never any NZ Adapters in the box, always some dodgy looking overseas converter

But I have had a two friends who had issues:
- One got his phone returned and replaced within a few days
- The other was left hanging on repairs for 2 months and ended up getting a refund

I'd say, be cautious...very cautious

Thanks. So they are not NZ plugs on the products? Imported from Asia I'm guessing?

If they are not NZ plugs then they should not be selling them. Retailed electrical stuff in NZ has standards it has to meat, putting a dodgey travel plug in the box and a china/eu adapter is not compliant.

Stupid law, but its the law.

That's correct, as Richard says above, they aren't meant to do it that way...guess one of us could take pictures and send to the ComCom ;)

Think that happened recently on Trademe too?  to a lot of sellers who were selling Chinese adapters here, rated at 6A with no insulation

Also, my original order came from Germany, where the Galaxy Spica was first released, nothings gone wrong with it, but most of the stuff is Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, with a few things from Europe/USA

only buy from them IF ITS IN STOCK

i purchased a phone, it was in stock, absolutely perfect. came the next day and it was insane. i was stoked.

however, my digital camera. it was roughly $1,500 NZ and it said only a few in stock. so i thought "sweet, get one before they sell out"
however, a week later i rang them and said "where is my camera?" the guy at expert infotech said "its in china on backorder"
another 2 'patient' weeks passed by, then i rang up again , and it was still in china.
they didnt reply to emails, or send updates. did nothing at all.
eventually i was really annoyed and called them up asking for a refund. i couldnt get it because the order was already placed -.-
so i had to upsell myself another $500 nz and get the next model up. that arrived the next day with a squashed box...luckily it still worked .

it says low stock, but on trademe where they also sell they said it was in stock. i don't feel entirely comfortable shopping with EI from whats of you have said.

we're going overseas in a little while so should probably just wait until then to get it, convincing my other half of this is the tricky part!

yea well my hassle i wrote about above, was just before my trip to japan. i was stressed enough getting packed etc without adding the worrying of not having a camera to film my trip.

I got my E63 from them. They didnt have it in black even though their website said they did and I'd have to wait another 2 weeks for it to come, plus the blue one was 20bux cheaper so I settled for that. Spent about 20 minutes in line because they only had one person in the entire store. Place was packed. The phone was good though, red on the box that it comes from Nigeria and it did come with the foreign plug and adaptor which like, doubled the height of the standard Nokia plug so I threw it in the draw and used a spare one I had.
I'm hoping it doesnt break, because I drove all the way from Manukau, Auckland to the North Shore because that store had black in stock apparently and I don't want to waste that much petrol again. Hahaha
