The problem with cramming more and more houses into a block is that it increases the chance of a douche neighbour. In our area there's just one bad neighbour that ruins it for everyone (usually with fireworks at midnight a few times a week). They just seem not to care that they are causing grief for hundreds of people, as long as their own selfish needs are met. Sadly you cannot reason with people like this and the council are useless, so what can you do? Nothing. You just hope they move away and ruin someone elses neighbourhood.
