My best travel destination was Norway, it was because of the wilderness, scenery and visiting the Arctic circle with its 24hours of daylight during the summer and friendly locals.

I would like to fly from Wellington to attend the Auckland event.

My most interesting travel destination recently was China because of incredible diversity in people, food and culture. I will be flying from Auckland to attend the Christchurch event.

My best travel destination was Thailand because of why I was there (my honeymoon), who I was there with (my new wife Wink), where we went (Chiang Mai) and what we did (all types of un-PC things like cuddling tigers, riding elephants, etc...).

I would like to fly from Auckland to the Wellington event.

My best travel destination was Auckland.

Coming back home for a holiday while based in the U.K. was simply awesome
especially as was doing so as a "tourist"

I will be flying from Auckland to attend the Christchurch event

MY favourite place so far is Noosa - Flew into Sydney, drove to surfers, then carried on the next day to Noosa. And I love Noosa because.. well whats not to love? its a beautiful destination. Shops on the beach (So close in fact, that there is sand inside some of them), the weather was beautiful and the people were extremely friendly.
I'm considering a move to Aussie in the next year or two after I get my qualifications - That (or in that area) will be somewhere I seriously consider.

I'd like to be flying from Hastings to attend the Auckland event.

Hard to pick a most interesting place, but one that comes to mind is Rome where I caught the wrong train to a not so tourist-friendly part of town. After a (scary) couple of hours I managed to get back into the city.

I'd like to fly from Christchurch to the Auckland event. And back again.

How convenient... ;)

I wonder why there were so few entries. I found that a bit surprising.

Yes,I am surprised too, even more because we did send out emails to everyone registered with a New Zealand address and more than five posts in the forums.

Just to show the response you get out of a few thousands emails. Also people are very focused in the forums they follow and don't really look at other forums. This is something we've noticed before in our analytics.

Also note that we had a lot less interest in the pizza evenings this year. I believe the fact we are charging the $10 registration fee made a lot of people pass it...

Seeing we have no way of doing it for free (previous experience tells us a lot of this people who register for free doesn't show up and we still have to pay for their food), it really makes me think if we should continue doing this in places like Christchurch.

75% of our local (New Zealand) traffic comes from Auckland, and that might explain why we have a long wait list for that event. Perhaps we should try and make a large one, Auckland only?

This is better discussed in the official thread though...
