Tabuti: Just need to make sure I run to the KFC & back to justify it haha

An 85kg individual would need to run at least 7km to burn off the double down.

Lucky I dont weigh 85kgs, I could eat a few before I had to run anywhere :D

Bring it on! At least have to try it once... or twice...

Being that I weigh more than 85kgs, I prolly have to run less lol....

This looks like 1 burger to try, mainly to stick it to those whingeing about it, and if it tastes good then its win win.

What's the problem? According to KFC.com, the original recipe double down is 540 cal, 32g fat, 1380mg Na. A BK Whopper is 633 cal, 37g fat, 1017mg Na. Is there something wrong with the double down?!

An 85kg individual would need to run at least 7km to burn off the double down.  Need to run further if you eat fries and have a soft drink.  Thats a lot of running!

But that is only 3.5km to the KFC and 3.5km home. I used to run about 65km a week - give or take a few km. So I could have had almost 10 of these suckers... but I'm nowhere near 85kg, so maybe just 6 and a few fries.

I'm sure there must be an app that will do them for you these days. Smile

sounds like something that might taste nice, but the buns tend to serve a practical function - they shield your fingers from the burning heat of the fried patty/breast etc. How are we supposed to eat it? Does it come with some device for holding it, or will it be less hot.

Comes in one of those packets, like a hash brown at McDonalds.

I'm sure the main problem is that it actually looks like a total dripping fat feast. Never mind that other common products are comparable and sometimes worse.

About analysis, I see the grams of fat statistic everywhere, but what is the total weight of the thing?

Breakdown of saturated and unsaturated? etc? Total calories and total fat by themselves are not that interesting to me personally.

This product is an obvious result of a marketing guy finding out that customers want more chicken in the burger and like bacon and cheese on it, and finding the total labour saving in buns and crap pretty much pays for it while increasing projected sales volume.

Plus all the free marketing they are getting by nanny-state newspapers and news organisations. It should be out now to take advantage of all the press.

To anyone who stills believes the 50 year old incorrect conventional wisdom around nutrition that the nanny state pushes....

I highly recommend giving this movie a watch (below), both funny and informative:
