Im sure if what the person did was bad enough, they could find out what sim was being used, go to the store find out what time that was sold, go through their sales records and find out who purchased it at what time and with what card etc....

Especially when a lot of the local dairys around here have multiple family members looking after the shop

This is the same as what was said previously. The stores do not match IMEI or any identifying trait between the SIM sold and the transaction it was sold in.

To be even safer do not use the SIM until roughly six weeks has passed. That way most commercial camera systems would have overwritten their stored CCTV data and you'll never be found.

And we cant go around pulling burkas off Starbucks customers to see which one is Uncle Stadanko... unless our virtual uncle finds wearing burkas to be especially uncomfortable. And the place that sold the burka might have been suspicious too!

If you are doing something predictable like running a botnet then you might trigger more attention than you really want, and end up having to spend half your life sweltering in said burka until you find a suitable public loo in the countryside where you can switch identities away from spying eyes.

Time to find a new industry!

Option 1: Break into someone else's home, use their computer & internet.

Option 2: Purchase prezzy card with cash, use prezzy card to buy time on something like cafenet at one of the universities/outdoor wi-fi areas, use the old laptop you have sitting in a cupboard somewhere from yonks ago that you haven't brought yourself to throw out yet to do the business. Dispose of laptop through logical means (fire/throw into sea).
