nickd: Is it just me, or does it look like it has a much bigger budget this time?

Lets hope not...

Part f the appeal is that the Brits keep making something challenging on a shoestring style budget. If they get to CGI'd about the whole thing it may loose some of that appeal.
It's that fine mix between out flying a hoard of missiles, at sea level, in a bespoke space ship with a broken window, that looks like it's been made from bits you'd get at B&Q (Mitre10).... or trying to futurize  the space ship (and space traveller) detail as the Americans do so well.

Although it would be nice to see the Tardis operate outside of the local world that is its UK housing estate universe

There is no law that forces you to do this.

Prime is an Australian company and the BBC is UK, so I'm not sure why you're so upset about Apple and US networks!

The delay in screening here is purely down to Prime and BBC and their commercial arrangements.

Yes it seems it does. Feels like it has been given the Hollywood blockbuster look.

Its a good thing too, my girlfriend loves doctor who, but I get a little put off by the plot holes and low budget production at times.

Prime has been owned by Sky TV for ~5 years now.

I was watching Prime last night and saw the teaser for the new Dr Who series "coming soon". It seems they wait won't be too long this time.

Oh really now? I'd be more concerned if you brought the previous one back to life.

Skywatch magazine has Dr Who on Prime starting 15 May.  Hopefully the new series!

If the 15th of May then that is only 4ish weeks delay from playing in the UK which isn't so bad.

Hopefully they play the Confidential as well each time after and also play the Rewind Special and the Time and Space short Special before (but I don't think so)

Now look at Coro Street.. How many years are we behind on that and I don't see anyone complaining...

You don't get TV Guide then.  The letter writers are  always complaining about how far NZ is behind.  Why they even write letters to politicians when there's a hind of further delay or a hint shifting to the likes of Sky..

Such an ominous trailer! I cannot wait for this!! It's looking pretty dark too - hopefully not too freaky for the younger viewers.

Stephen Moffat has said that this series will be split in two. I'll probably tear my hear out when the mid-season cliff-hanger happens.

Ooooooooooweeeeeeooooooooooo!
