Is it just me, or does it look like it has a much bigger budget this time?

A few hours after it's aired ;)

Or, since TVNZ/TV3/etc are useless bastards, 2-4 weeks.

AH, so it's Prime TV that shows it here and according to http://paulscoones.blogspot.com/2011/04/new-doctor-who-no-spoilers.html the air dates "haven't been announced yet". Which means "Not any time soon".

Which means it's torrent time. Seriously, they expect hard core fans to not talk to any of their other Doctor Who friends overseas for s weeks? They need to get real.

Seen advertised on Prime the new series starts in May. Since it airs in the UK tomorrow, we wont be to far behind.

Also talk of BBC iplayer going international that would be great to catchup up on the doctor. Should see an ISP spike in NZ tommorow morning when the torrents go up

Big problem with the version on Prime is that you get the program but not the documentary that is shown rite after it in the UK  which goes behind the scenes..

Yes it seems it does. Feels like it has been given the Hollywood blockbuster look.

Downloading off iTunes now. Yay American account!

I feel justified in violating their stupid regional blocking. I still refuse to torrent though (especially since it downloads in just over an hour from iTunes, and I only need to pay for the downstream traffic - ISPs will be pleased to note they already have the new episode sitting in their datacentres on the Akamai cache).

Why is it so hard to just give them money?!?

I still think buying/renting from iTunes is no different than purchasing a DVD in the US and bringing it back to watch here.

You might be breaching a ToS, but there's no copyright breach as you are not downloading it to share with anyone else afterwards.
