bener: It is definitely an effective way to get the crowd into it but it just seems a strange choice.

robbyp - I definitely agree with you on the songs, how on earth is Black Eyed Peas in there (that 'I got a feeling' song) - at least play all NZ music, we make enough of it!

Either way, no real issues here, this has been the best RWC I have seen, lets end it on a good note!

This and the 1995 world cup in SA, I think have been the best ever, and I think overall it has been good for NZ, even though we do make quite a big loss on it.
The ones in Europe are usually no where near as good. They always have it hosted in a certain country, but then many other countries in the UK also get to host games, so effectively they are hosting world cup games every 8 years, and it just becomes so diluted. For example Millennium Stadium in Wales will host games for the 2015 world cup, even though it is being hosted in England, and they also hosted games in the 2007, and 1999 world cups. The reason they do this is likely because they can make the most money.

Can anyone clarify whether it's been used for the whole RWC? I went to the Scotland v Romania game (which was the 2nd game held) and don't remember hearing it at all. i could be wrong and just didn't pay enough attention, although it is kind of hard to miss.

The countdown is great.

Pretty sure they use the horn/trumpet at all games. Heard it at Fiji/Samoa.

It wasn't there right at the start. They started it on like the 3rd or 4th day of games.
