BurningBeard: My family have flagged the idea of gifts altogether for the last few years.

...and instead focus on the true meaning of Christmas ;)

Re: The opening post  - how about both agreeing to not bother with presents?
My family have flagged the idea of gifts altogether for the last few years.

That's not such a bad idea, the Mrs and I got into a bad habit or spending between $500 and $1000 every Christmas or Birthday... was getting a little out of control. Now we've agreed to only spend $100 MAX, and will be a lot better off for it too.

I like this one, think about all the savings. I will be telling this to my family, especially the little ones.

Merry Christmas Uncle. Where are my presents?

We should just focus on the true meaning of Christmas...come over here and eat some white bread while I read the bible to you.

b0untypure1: kindle!

Already have Kindle and Kobo apps on our tablets, and to be honest, neither of us like the Kindle e-reader.

semigeek: My new interest is RC Helicopters, but as a newbie I don't know much about them

So any ideas for presents gratefully received.

I hear there is a cheap Helicopter for sale down the Viaduct basin Auckland, It may even come with a Christmas tree attached

You might need a trailer to pick it up

John

Ahh, the new released kitset version, you just have to work out how to put it back together.

Not bothering with presents? Wash your mouth out ;)
Too late for that anyway, I have already started on my partners present, just have to wait for it to arrive from the UK.
