Just watched Gran Tourino. Completely blew me away. I don't know if it's because I was brought up a Catholic for 15 years and never understood the whole confession/absolution thing, but the movie was freaking awesome.

Transformers 2, and seriously an amazing movie!!!! All the graphics were pure class and can't wait to go see it again, not so much a kids movie anymore as a whole lot more swearing. If you have a chance go see it, Imo actually better than the first

Transformers 2 is on my must-watch list purely because of the combination: Megan Fox + leather pants + bad-ass robots.

I'm scared to watch Transformers 2 after reading this review:

Watched Passengers last night. Ok movie, a bit slow... Probably 6 out of 10.

Rented The Mask of Zorro on iTunes last night. I didn't realise it's from 1998! Still entertaining as it was when first released though.

Saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last night and was quietly impressed. It certainly earns it's "forrest gump 2" moniker but if you set that aside it's quite a lovely film. The reverse aging effects are incredibly well executed, and Cate Blanchett is gorgeous as ever.

Saw Coraline over the weekend. Really enjoyed it. Don't believe it's for kids, though, as it's quite a dark movie. 8/10.

Watched Hellyboy 2 - Well made and the characters were amazing, I got a bit bored 3/4 of the way through so story could have been a bit better.

Went to Transformers 2 last night - Really enjoyed this, a huge amount of effects, massive amounts of fighting, huge sound effects. My vote is Isabel Lucas over Megan Fox anytime.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (aka Transformers 2).  Thought it was a good movie, but personally, I think the first was better.  This one just seemed to drag on in parts, and had some unnecessary story deviations.  The special effects, explosions (and Megan Fox) were all A++

Love The Beast: Doco / Movie about Eric Bana (The Hulk, Star Trek) and his love for his Ford Falcon XB coupe.  Really good movie about how the car is part of his live, and how its brings friends and family together.  Does a complete rebuild / restoration of the XB and runs it in the Tasmania Targa (probably 2008).  Has a few guest cameos from Jeremy Clarkson, Jay Leno and Dr Phil.

Ip Man: Martial arts epic about the shifu (teacher) of Bruce Lee.  The movie is based earlier in his life before meeting Lee, and is more about the time of Japanese occupation of China.  Excellent fight choreography, and excellent movie overall.  If you are into martial arts at all, then I'd recommend this movie.  Best $24.95 (JB HiFi in Wgtn) I've spent on a DVD.

Just watched an old movie (Picture Perfect) with Jennifer Aniston (pretty average) and decided to watch Office Space again...

Last House on the Left

Wow, pretty nasty! Revenge movie - a "you rape my daughter, I put a hammer in your skull" kinda deal.

My very metal Doctor Who theme

We watched When Harry Met Sally last weekend... After all these years. The hair! The clothes!

The Baader-Mainhof Complex.  Brilliant.  Best movie of 2009 so far.
