Seeing my boys head off to the same school for their their first day, for the last time ever.

One is just starting at the school and the other is just in his final year.

Man they grow up fast!!

My son has 4 month to go as well before university. 🙂

I still think it was „last week“ when I introduced him to the Raspberry Pi and now he‘s programming LUA for flight simulator models just for fun and I have to explain him A/C systems in all deepness.

Yes my youngest is so much more adept at everything technological than I am...he makes me feel old and quite "special" at times.

This might be a "you had to be there" type of thing, but I do appreciate the dry, almost emotionless raid leader we have in a game I play.

"With reference to the snake that I just put a [marker icon] on, how close to... OK, the snake is now dead. That was uncalled for."

Brings back memories of when I was a lad in the sixties where the equivalent then was a copy of Practical Wireless or Practical Electronics, some Vero Board and a handful of the ubiquitous 2N2926 transistors :)

The kea that stole the GoPro

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Those Keas...been brought up by soft parents in a zero-consequences environment, so they just take what they want, knowing they'll get away with it!

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

He's obviously Asiatic, just look at the shape of the ears and the tusks.

This made me positively laugh out loud, despite being in the 'other' thread.

@neb: In any case the thing to compare high-speed objects to is a can of ravioli.

You don't normally see comments like "Thermonuclear interactions, such as hydrogen fusion, may take place in the tomato sauce" in a physics writeup :-).

More smiles too when you tell the kids you can all soon come home with the borders opening.

We’re not telling the kids anything until it’s actually happened, it’s not worth getting their hopes up. July would be the earliest we could consider coming so I’ll believe it when I see it, not before.

A wise idea!

A friend of mine who lives in Aussie just messaged me and said "Hey! It'll be awesome when you guys come over to visit now the borders are opening!"

I just smiled and thought...maybe I'll wait a while - see how it all works out.

I just wasted 15 minutes of a scammer's time. Really enjoyed it. Put on my old people's feeble voice (I really am old), did the helpless technology is way beyond me thing, got the scammer to hold while I put on some relaxing classical music and checked GZ on my laptop as he waited for me to S-l-o-w-l-y (I warned him) go to the other room to switch on the computer. Damn that walking frame!

What I don't get is that they are still running that credit card payment scam. Surely that is played out  by now?
