According to Google there's a T.K.Maxx store in New Zealand, in Auckland to be precise.

Washington Post: Officer who ignored New York Police Department’s ‘courtesy cards’ receives $175K settlement

One driver giggled when New York police officer Mathew Bianchi pulled her over for talking on her cellphone, because it was the second time in as many days that he had done so, the officer said.

Another was going at least twice the 30-mph speed limit while driving on the wrong side of the street and blowing through red lights, he added.

A third who had been doing 50 mph in a 30-mph zone reacted to Bianchi approaching his Mercedes SUV by fanning out about two dozen “courtesy cards” and telling him to pick one, Bianchi said Wednesday.

In fact, all three of them had the cards issued by the New York Police Department’s biggest union to officers who then give them to family, friends and anyone else they want to be able to get out of low-level encounters with law enforcement, Bianchi told The Washington Post.

Although he let all three of those drivers go, Bianchi eventually got fed up with letting reckless drivers off the hook, some of them repeatedly, and started writing tickets even if they had the cards, he said. That allegedly led to escalating retaliation that in May 2023 resulted in Bianchi suing the city and a police captain after he was pulled off the traffic unit and put on the night shift.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Southern Sherriff's are elected, and overall have a bad reputation.

The judge murdered by the Sherriff gained attention for his efforts to offer those suffering from drug addiction treatment options rather than throwing them behind bars.

In 2010, he started a program allowing inmates with substance use disorders to enroll in inpatient treatment as a condition of their pretrial release.

He helped develop a program called Addiction Recovery Care to offer peer support services in the courthouse, which has since been adopted in at least 50 counties in Kentucky.

ABC News: Kentucky judge shot and killed in chambers, sheriff charged with murder: Officials

Letcher County Sheriff Shawn Stines has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a Kentucky District Judge Kevin Mullins, who was killed in his chambers on Thursday, according to police.

Mullins, who presided over Letcher County, was shot and killed at the Letcher County Courthouse, Kentucky State Police said.

Stines has been arrested and charged with murder in the judge's death, state police said.

A 911 caller reported shots being fired inside the courthouse shortly before 3 p.m. ET, state police said.

Responding officers and emergency personnel found Mullins, 54, with multiple gunshot wounds, state police said. He had been shot in his chambers, according to Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear. Mullins was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stines, 43, allegedly shot Mullins "following an argument inside the courthouse," Kentucky State Police said in a statement.

I found this "cool mom" speech painful. Australian Senator Fatima Payman delivered her “brain rot” speech at the Australian Parliament House.

In summary, she criticized the Australian government for discussing the cost of living crisis extensively without implementing effective measures, for lacking transparency regarding taxes, and for inadequately addressing the concerns of younger generations. Additionally, she urged youth to exercise their right to vote.

Note she didn't write the official speech. An even younger policy aid did and she just parroted it. Still they are all valid points, stupidly presented.

Kai Cenat: American online streamer and YouTuber
Duke Dennis famous. Another youtuber, particularly focused on basketball video game franchise NBA 2K
Fort Chat: likely refers to chat features within the popular game Fortnite
CEO of Ohio: meme. Middle America. See "yunglimabean"
Skibidi: meme. meaningless. popularized by the same name song by the Russian rave band Little Big.

"To the sigmas of Australia, I say that this goofy ahh government have been capping, not just now but for a long time. A few of you may remember when they said, ‘There’ll be no fanum tax under the government I lead.’

They’re capaholics. They’re also yapaholics. They yap non-stop about how their cost-of-living measures are changing lives for all Australians. Just put the fries in the bag, lil bro.

They tell us that they’re locked in on improving the housing situation in this country. They must have brain rot from watching too much Kai Cenat and forgot about their plans to ban social media for kids under 14.

If that becomes law, you can ‘forgor skull emoji’ all about watching Duke Dennis or catching a dub with the bros on Fort. Chat, is this Prime Minister serious?

Even though he’s the Prime Minister of Australia, sometimes it feels like he’s the CEO of Ohio. I would be taking an L if I did not mention the opps who want to cut WA’s gyatts and services tax.

The decision voters will be making in a few months time will be between a mid government, a dog water opposition or a crossbench that will mog both of them.

Though some of you cannot yet vote, I hope that, when you do, it will be in a more goated Australia for a government with more aura. Skibidi!"

8 News (USA): Las Vegas police arrest pastor with guns, drugs in hotel room

Las Vegas Metro police arrested an evangelical pastor for allegedly having guns and drugs in a hotel room in an incident that initially sparked a counter-terrorism response, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.
...
On Aug. 20, drug and counter-terrorism detectives responded to the hotel after McGee reported a piece of property missing, documents said. McGee told police he was visiting Las Vegas from North Carolina and had arrived in a private jet to find his daughter.

When officers asked McGee if he had any weapons in his room, he reportedly replied, “Yes, I have a gun in my guitar case,” documents said. Hotel employees had previously warned McGee about the policy after he allegedly brought a shotgun to his room days earlier.

The discovery of the firearms, including an AR-15 with a scope, prompted responding officers to suspect McGee was planning a 1 October-style shooting, documents said. Since the 2017 mass shooting, Metro police have investigated “suspicious situations where multiple firearms are located inside hotels on the Las Vegas Strip,” police said.
...
Inside the hotel room, police said they found suspected fentanyl pills and powder, they said.

It’s not the fall that kills you; it’s the sudden stop at the end.

Chinese space companies seem much more obsessed with video footage than even SpaceX.
