Not just a headline, but an entire story on Stuff that is dumb - Man tries to outsmart police with a 'solar powered' Holden ute

I can’t now re-find the specific recent NZH story to check the exact wording of my quote but it was a story about two teenage girls who got rescued in recent flooding by two guys in a dinghy. The story reported the girls as saying: “They just turned up here and rode us out”.

Hope the girls enjoyed that.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

And "sketchy" in a headline? Really, Stuff? I get that it's a quote but still!

Fair Go is doing a bit on car yards that fit finance non-payment immobilizers. They keep showing the Japanese Toll ETC as this evil box....it has zero to do with the immobilizer.

Here’s one from today’s Herald:

“According to The Sun on Sunday, Andrew’s other siblings, Prince Anne and Prince Edward,”

There are two papers in the U.K. to ignore. That’s one of them!

Herald:

“The polar blast is set to hit the south on Tuesday, sending autumn temperatures dropping as low as 15C and 16C in Dunedin and Christchurch,”

As low as that? Wow.

The restored mansion being flogged in the Herald / OneRoof, which has been blessed with 'Neo-Gregorian leaded-fanlights', obviously referring to the 'kind of wig worn in the seventeenth century' by fashionable leaded-fanlights everywhere.

“The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.” -John Kenneth Galbraith
