Have started watching Resident Evil (series) on Netflix.
So far it's not too bad. More drama and suspense than outright horror, but that makes it more compelling, if anything.
The dual timelines take some getting used to, but it's pretty well done.
So far, so good.

Yeah I think it was treated unfairly by fans. They just want a shot for shot remake of the games rather than a new concept.

Severance - Apple TV+
Just Watch It!
And stay to the last episode. One of the best end of season episodes I have ever seen :)
Couldn't agree more with this, once you get to that last episode I was like "okay where's Season 2, let's go already!" Highly recommended if you haven't already seen it.
thermonuclear:
One show I didn't see mentioned, though I may have missed it during my scrolling, is The Lazarus Project on Neon. A sci-fi/time travel story, a lot of which is told in flash-back, was a really enjoyable watch. Excellent cast all round, including The Musketeer's Tom Burke, Men Behaving Badly's Caroline Quentin, and the wonderful Charly Clive with her infectious smile! Thought the premise was an interesting idea, worth a look if you haven't already done so.
Thanks for the recommendation, started watching this last night.
She Hulk - Disney+
I am really not sure what to say. It wasn't great, I am not even sure what purpose it serves or what story it tells, but I guess I'll watch a couple of more episodes in the hope it improves. Not saying it didn't have any decent moments, it just feels really... odd. I did not understand smart hulk at all.
Started watching "God's Favourite Idiot" on Netflix NZ.
It's...OK so far. Will continue to watch for now
Resident Evil and Sandman - so far so good.
Future Man continues. On Neon.
Westworld isn't as good as it once was. But I'm still going.
Only Murders in the Building is building to a nice crescendo on Disney+. Nearly finished season 1 of Daredevil on Disney+ too. It's quite good.

Sandman, is this something you can watch with no precursor knowledge of the lore? The trailer looked a bit convoluted and wondering if you have to know a bit about it before it would make sense?

I think so.
I started an audiobook of it, but gave up because I didn't like the voice of the narrator.
Basically the story is simple - the whole thing is fairly well explained and you don't need to be a megafan to watch it.

I haven't read the comics on which it is based and I found it easy enough to follow. I gave it a go based on my discovery of Neil Gaiman through the excellent Good Omens. I thought the weakest episode, by some margin, was the one that centered around events in the diner. Apparently the issue of the comic on which that was based is considered one of the highlights of the entire story, and the Guardian's TV critic called it the best hour of television this year.
So, yeah ... I enjoyed it overall I think, by no means the best thing I've seen this year. I thought the casting was a little hit and miss, didn't buy Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer at all, and I think I've seen enough of Jenna Coleman now to last a lifetime. Tom Sturridge was good in the title role though, as I said, I've not read the comics so I'm not sure how faithful it is to the source material.
House of the Dragon.
I enjoyed it. A lot of visual callbacks to the final GOT episode in the opening scenes. Quite a different look to King's Landing. Definitely think the change of timeline from the initial proposal for a much earlier timeline to a more contemporary one was the right call.

Watching with younger teens and the inclusion of Selena Gomez has them involved now, in what could otherwise have been a real older persons show.
TVNZ+ has a fair bit on it. Watching there a bit more than Netflix lately.
Just watched The Brave which was your standard special ops team stuff, but more of a focus on each team member having a different skillset.
Weirdly soon after finding and starting it Anne Heche passed away. The show only lasted one series, but at least didn't end on too much of a cliff hanger.
