Paul1977: People who don't understand that the on-ramp on a motorway is to get up to the speed of the traffic flow.
Yep the Tinakori on ramp is bad for folks breaking at the end of it. I used to travel it daily leaving work  and many times had to break heavily because someone felt the need to stop look and listen. It seems many drivers do not understand the concept of speed equalisation to ease the merge process.
Do you honk and flash your high beams at them for being dicks?
Nah never do that, that would be  a dick like them

I disagree. If everyone did it to them they might wise up that they are the problem. Might.... Possibly.

The MetService - Forecast contradicting what is actually happening!

Or forecasting an event after it has actually started.

People saying "I'm only human" as an excuse for their mistakes. What a cop out.

When I stop at lights behind a car at a safe distance and someone comes up very close behind... I then inch forward a bit to have more space (for safety) and the idiot moves forward as well.

It's annoying that many drivers don't understand that one should stop being able to see the tires on the car in front making contact with the road.

I've run that through my brain a few times and I can't quite understand what you are trying to say .. are we not allowed to see car tyres touching the floor ?

Oh ... is it "tyres" or "tires" in NZ ? :-)

People who don't put their personal phones on silent in the office. Seriously, I don't know how people put up with having their devices screeching at them every few minutes.

Also ridiculous. What else would they be? A giraffe? A robot? A space alien?

alasta: Shoe laces. Seriously, with all the technology in the modern world, why do we still use silly bits of string to secure our shoes to our feet?
You are wrong.
Yeah...nah! Seriously though, aside from simple velcro what would be better? You could design a vacuum fitting system I guess but you would need pumps and batteries and airtight bags and so on and on...!

Came across this - some sports person has some new boots from Adidas for kicking a ball around a field which do not use laces!

Either works. I always leave enough gap so I can pull into an adjacent lane if the car infront dies or whatever. Has happened a few times and not having enough space to just move lane is the worst.
