Only Murders in the Building is building to a nice crescendo on Disney+.

Watching with younger teens and the inclusion of Selena Gomez has them involved now, in what could otherwise have been a real older persons show.

I like the fact that they have nods to that exact thing in the show - the male leads are all older and then Selena Gomez is younger (but not Young, young) then there's the "daughter" who is a different demographic again.

And they mention it. Several times.

House of the Dragon.

I enjoyed it. A lot of visual callbacks to the final GOT episode in the opening scenes. Quite a different look to King's Landing. Definitely think the change of timeline from the initial proposal for a much earlier timeline to a more contemporary one was the right call.

Not sure about this one yet, I watched it while simultaneously working on the laptop so that's probably not the best sign for me.  Nothing I can really put my finger on, perhaps seeing The Doctor as a Targaryen is bugging me?  Perhaps it's because we've seen it all before on the original series that it's less impactful this time around?  Perhaps it's hangover from the way the original series fizzled out at the end?

I'm definitely going to stick with it for the first season, just left a little underwhelmed after the opening episode I guess.

The Sandman.

I persevered through the woke messaging and the story was almost good enough to compensate. Not quite.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Netflix. A South Korean drama/comedy series that is one of the best shows i have seen in a while. It has a rating of 9.1 on IMDB and that is well deserved. i  i give it a 10. And if nothing else you will learn everything about Whales you didnt know.

Really good series. Light, funny, good story.

Watching Vincenzo. The comedy bits seem to fall flat, but the drama is not bad.

And yes, a South Korea-born Mafia consigliere who decides to go back to South Korea is an interesting premise.

What I bolded. I wasnt expecting much as the first EP is an intro, see the lay of the land.

Seen it all before? Not being critical but we haven't. Its new, its a new story from 173 years previous. Its not GoT 2.0

I chewed through a fair bit of TV while isolating a couple of weeks ago.

I rewatched the first two seasons of For All Mankind on Apple TV.  When I first watched this show I was in two minds about whether I enjoyed it.  Especially season 1, which begins with very grumpy Joel Kinnaman (which really bugged me for some reason) grumping his way through the first few episodes.  A big chunk of those first episodes are really about America dealing with their "loss" to the Soviets during the 1960s space race.  I think found it unpleasant to watch the first time, but rewatching it knowing where it goes, I enjoyed it a lot more.  The character arcs for the main cast are pretty good, and I like the context they've placed on how the exploration of space might have played out differently, with habitation of the lunar surface and the escalation of the Cold War to new fronts.  I've just started season 3, and it's given me a few "OMG" moments as they leaned into the drama of what can go wrong in space.

I also got my hands on some old episodes of Sledgehammer, a TV show from the 1980s starring David Rachet as the archetypal "shoot first, shoot again later" cop.  It was cheesy as hell back in the 80s, and it's still unbelievably cheesy, but I genuinely laughed out loud during the first few episodes.  There's elements of the Zucker/Zucker/Abrahams comedies that usually featured Leslie Nielsen in some role, which still (usually) make me giggle, so that might have something to do with it.  Also, a fantastic opening sequence/title song - this is something the late 70s/80s TV shows always did so well.

I'm also about to introduce my 8-year old daughter to Knight Rider.  We watched a YouTube channel series of videos about a guy who is turning his Tesla into KITT (KITTesla), and she asked about Knight Rider.  I showed her the opening sequence and her jaw dropped, so we've added that to the list of shows we'll watch together (along with the original Wonder Woman, Fraggle Rock, and a host of other classic 70s/80s shows).

Bad Sisters - Apple TV Plus.

The first two episodes are out so far. It’s absolutely phenomenal. Dark comedy about 4 sisters who conspire to murder their abusive brother in law. Stars Anne Marie Duff (Shameless, His Dark Materials) and Sharon Horgan ( Pulling, Catastrophe)

Solid 10/10.

Deadwood - Never watched it during it's prime, one of the best Western's i've seen so far. Timothy Olyphant nails it.

Upcoming series, with Danny Devito voicing the devil.

Needless to say, some are taking this as sign of the end times (I kid you not)

Been through a lot of series lately

Ms Marvel....despite being older and it being targeted more for a younger audience it was quite enjoyable....possibly helped by the fact I was watching with one of my teenagers.

Book of Bobba Fett... A few episodes in and think i was hooked before the end of the first. The two timelines are good and seeing some Hutts was awesome.

The Orvillle.... Just started watching this and it's a bit of light relief....similar to Star Trek but with some added humour.

Dota Dragons Blood.... Into season 2 already after maybe a day so must be enjoying it....no idea what Dota is or anything about the game (if based off that).

Bad Excorcist....Adult animation that looked a little better in the shorts than the actual show.  I will most likely finish the season not sure I'd watch after that though.

Uncoupled....New comedy about a man getting used to single life after his boyfriend of 10 + yrs suddenly breaks up with him.  Has been pretty good but not suitable for younger viewers so haven't gotten too far into this one.

The OA....Quite enjoyed this when watching it a few weeks back but had to look up what it was about soo....forgettable is my comment.

Top three were watched through Disney + and the others were through Netflix.

I also sort of enjoyed it, though I seem to struggle to keep track of the names and people.
