Watched The Incredibles with my daughters, and they loved it.
Now watching Shrek, and the Mrs has just clicked on Lord Farquaad... LMFAO
Watched The Last Diamond (French with English subtitles). Pretty interesting story. The option was Heist and we think we got the good one.

Watched 'Life' (2017) starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds. It was a kind of combination of Alien and Gravity with a hint of Sunshine and The Mist. Very tense, very good, very weird. Recommended.
War for the Planet of the Apes.
Amazing. Woody Harrelson is an excellent actor, but the whole movie is awesome. 9/10
Spotlight. Good movie, especially if you are in the mood for a good investigative drama.
War for the Planet of the Apes.
Not a lot of substance to the story for the 2 hours 20 mins running time, a little too sentimental, but a good watch nonetheless. Last third is best.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Geektastic: Spiderman Homecoming.
The best Spidey outing yet by miles. Why is Spiderman stuck in an adolescent time warp though? He never seems to be doing anything but learning how to be Spiderman. How about a film where he actually has mastery of his powers?
He looks like he has them in every other movie. I didn't like homecoming as much and a lot of it was because of the adolescence and lack of his powers.
The prior one where he goes against electro, he had them pretty good then!

Just watched lars and the real girl , What a fantastic move 9/10 for me a good watch from the beginning to the end.
About A delusional young man who strikes up an unconventional relationship with a doll he finds on the Internet.

War for the Planet of the Apes - Excellent. Far more thoughtful and character driven than I was expecting (something I felt the the previous instalment lacked), but still with the right amount of action without it being over the top. They also managed to put in enough light/comedic moments to offset some of the much darker content. I never give a perfect 10 to a movie, because I don't believe anything is perfect - but this was really close. 9.5/10

Dingbatt: Dunkirk, yesterday.
Very gritty, brilliant sound stage and cinematography. An interwoven storylines that take a bit to get your head around. Not much character development due to nonstop action. Felt drained after 2 hours but an excellent watch.
8/10.
Dunkirk may be one of my favourite movies of all time.
The almost complete lack of dialogue or character development really lends itself to the "Long stretches of boredom, punctuated by moments of sheer terror" idea of war.
Even the small moments of victory the British had were almost immediately followed up by another German attack and the loss of more British soldiers, the movie had no time to linger on patriotism or glory in war.
I came out of this movie feeling drained, not even really entertained and yet this is now cemented as one of the most important moments of film in my life.
