Watched Entrapped (TV Series 2022– ) - IMDb, a sequel to Trapped (TV Series 2015– ) - IMDb

You don't really need to watch in order but it helps to know about the characters. Still good, give it a 7/10

Watched the first few eps of Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power on Amazon Prime Video. Really good, if a little slow (as is to be expected from Tolkien). Quality casting, quality cinematography and very high production value.

Also watching Welcome to Wrexham on Disney+. Really enjoying that too.

Started watching another slow burner - Wolf Like Me on Amazon Prime Video, starring Josh Gad and Isla Fisher. Based in Australia, but both Americans living in Adelaide by chance/circumstance. So far, so good. It's a sort of quirky, slowish romantic dramedy that takes a bit to get going. Effectively, widower raising daughter. Meets woman by accident (literally) and they start talking. A lot. She's odd. He's tragic. Daughter is troubled.

Wedding Season (Disney+) is a lot better than I thought it would be.

This anime called "Don’t Hurt Me, My Healer! " is getting some very negative reviews, but I'm enjoying it.

The warrior hasn't beat any monster,.

Most role playing games healers use holy/light magic, This one seems to be only able to use dark/curse magic.

She has never "buffed" or healed him. She'll always sides with the villain, and often save the warriors life by convincing the villain that he is worthless.

Always loved a good USA legal drama & the final season of The Good Fight has just kicked off.

Also rewatching Denny Crane(Crane, Poole & Schmidt) in Boston Legal. Rewatching after a 10yr hiatus I'd forgotten how chauvinist the show was 🤣

Wife and I started watching a few Dramadies of late.

As mentioned - Wolf Like Me was one of them and is going well so far.

Another is a Stephen Merchant show on Amazon Prime Video called Outlaws. It's a drama with lighthearded moments, rather than a comedy with drama. Long story short a varied group of people are doing Community Service in Bristol: Businessman (classic middle-aged conservative right-winger), a life-long social activist, a gang-banger, a good girl from a family that only lets her study and do school work, a "lady"  - posh influencer with honorary title, an old grifter/ex con and a lawyer/nerd.

It also stars Christopher Walken in a smallish part, but he's very good in it, as you'd expect. I'd recommend it if you like British Dramedy.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is surely taking its time to get into some action now.

Great to see The Good Fight back, though it's bittersweet with this being the final season apparently.  The storytelling has been consistently high throughout the six seasons despite the numerous significant cast changes.

Apparently a few of the stars of years past are going to make a swansong appearance this season including my favourite guest of all, Carrie Preston, in the role of lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni.  Also great to see The Good Wife's Eli Gold finally make an appearance, I think I'm right in saying this is his first time on this show despite his daughter Marissa being core cast for the entire run.

Wondering if we might see Michael J Fox again also.

Thanks to this thread we’ve re-discovered The Good Fight, having kinda put it on pause after it jumped the shark in S04.

Do any NZ providers have S05 or S06? The earlier seasons are on Prime but I can’t see a legit source for the latest two. Ta.

See on Apple TV. One of my favourite shows 9.5/10. About a world where almost everyone is blind. It can get pretty violent.

Severance: Apple TV as well 3/10. Find it hard not to fall asleep watching. People at work have no memory of outside life, and when out of work no memory of work. Good acting but it is pretty weird. Only watching it to see if it is ever revealed what the work is.

Sigh.

The latest 2 series from Disney Marvel.

Ms Marvel. Got to episode 3 and couldn’t stomach any more. A generous 1/10.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Just finished episode 6 (out of 9). I’ll give episodes 7, 8 and 9 a miss I think. If you haven’t tried it yet, then think Ally McBeal with the main character wearing green makeup. Certainly not a superhero series. 3/10.

I am enjoying Andor from Disney Starwars so far, but I’m seriously going to need to justify my Disney+ subscription when it comes due in December.

Last night we watched the first two episodes of dramatised true story, Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story on NF. He was a US mass murderer and cannibal.

I wouldn’t say it’s brilliant but it is interesting and hooked us in for the second episode. However there are 10, so not sure if we’ll stay the course.
