The fact that no one seems to be able to build a bridge in Martinborough that is capable of actually performing the simple function of crossing a river in all conditions. The council will cheerily waste millions on some pointless community centre whilst ignoring a bridge that is barely worthy of the name. Infuriating.

Really the larger bridge that is round the corner that the car is travelling towards. Here

It's still closed and I saw video of it yesterday with water over the road deck. What fool builds a bridge over a river without making it useable all year?

Come to think about it, given all the millions of cubic metres of water that are flowing into the sea and going to waste, why is some of that water not being saved for summer use when they will be likely moaning that we do not have enough water in the Wairarapa?

Yeah, that is frigging mickey mouse engineering. The bridge is perfectly ok, just not HIGH ENOUGH above the river. How hard would it have been to make it a metre or so higher?

Agreed. It would also benefit from another metre of deck width, given the farming traffic in the region, livestock trucks and the like - it's effectively a one lane bridge when that stuff is crossing and even two reasonable size cars don't have a lot of width to pass safely. However the height thing is far and away the biggest "Doh!" of the whole thing.

Those bus passengers who press the 'Bus Stopping' button just prior to the terminus stop. Is the bus driver, with a load of passengers, really going to sail past the last bus stop of the route without stopping? Or are those passengers really worried that they will be 'kidnapped' and end up hundreds of kilometres away at the hands of a crazed bus driver? Just wondering....

That's fine if you are a regular traveller and know the bus will always stop there. I catch very few buses locally, and don't know the routes. I use apps which will tell me to get off at a specific stop, not knowing if it's the terminus or not.

With added bonuses of "feel every bump"-style suspension and revolutionary non-conditioned "cooling".

And holding up traffic, or randomly pulling out in front of it.

Something tells me you're in a second hand bus zone. I don't ride a lot but the central ak buses are usually excellent.

This strictly meets the criteria of 'something small' haha.

Websites that cannot parse the spaces out of a phone number.......

eg,  216553433, 021 5553433

Same number, but some website forms reject the second because it has a 'space'!!!
