Enjoying a view of the snow covered Southern Alps over breakfast.

I rode my Spyder down yesterday (brrrrrr! 🥶) and am staying at the airport hotel waiting for my wife who is driving down today with the dogs.

Looking across the runways I have a glorious view of the Alps.

For those who don't know, she is world number 6 and NZ number 1.

Reverse car parking at it‘s best. No, it was a man who spent 8 minutes of his lifetime on it. ;-)

I've always wondered who the hell needs an automatic parking system in their car? Now I realise, they don't seem to teach that in driving schools anymore.

That looks suspicious, several times the car is lined up and then they drive back out again or turn so it's unaligned. My guess is there's more to this than the video shows, perhaps the driver has OCD and is compelled to re-attempt the same operation multiple times until every part of it is exactly right.

Maybe? But then he should park forwards.

Getting to use all 5 days of the Cardrona snow pass this year and the "worst" weather was some clouds and light snow on one of the days.  The other 4 were basically blue skies all day.

Considering the ferry trip down was delayed twice due to extreme weather last week, couldn't have asked for better weather on a much needed break.  :-)
