In which case, why bother with citizenship out of interest?
My mother has been here as a PR for over 40 years and there seemed to be little point to becoming a citizen.
Agree with others comments, I waited 21 years before applying as I never really saw any advantange until a few years back. My wife and kids are all NZ citizens.
Although Im repeating my earlier comments;
1. Ive had issues leaving the US to return to NZ - as my flight was "one way" to NZ (of course its one way, Im going home!)
2. Transitting through Sydney for more than 8 hours (I think it was 8) now requires a visa. Its just an ESTA type thing but you US airlines will grill you about this and possibly stop you from boarding.
3. You can work or do business in Australia.
4. Other problems regarding travelling on different passports compared to the rest of the family. You'd be surpirsed how ignorant/inflexible airport staff etc can be.

In Auckland? There will be another email depending on the originally planned ceremony dates. I think if you were allocated to the next ceremony which was supposed to be around end of the month, you should get an email within next week. Otherwise, it would be some time in Dec.
The email will say the date your certificate is due to be printed and advise that you will be citizen on that day without attending the ceremony.
I had friend who got email that certificate will be send by post directly within 2 months
