SJB: I've never seen a bad Coen Brothers movie

So I assume you haven’t seen A Serious Man, then?!

I’m generally a huge fan of their movies, but I’d still say some are better (eg Big Lebowski) than others (eg Burn After Reading), while one - A Serious Man - I really disliked...

dont forget The Ladykillers, i am a big Tom Hank's fan and even that wasnt enough to like it.

I find them hit and miss. Fargo and True Grit and No Country for Old Men and Big Lebowski and O' Brother = great.  Burn After Reading and Hail Caesar and A Serious Man and Hudsucker Proxy and Barton Fink = not for me.  But 50/50 isn't a bad hit rate for such prolific film makers.

A couple of early ones, Miller's Crossing and Blood Simple were pretty good as well.

+1 for Millers Crossing and Blood Simple, but also an honourable mention for Raising Arizona (which, incidentally, is Writer/Director Edgar Wright's favourite film of all time!)

Watched Raising Arizona over the weekend. Not bad, quirky storyline and quite funny in patches but I found Nicholas Cage a little irritating. 6/10

I watched The Disaster Artist and Jumanji - Welcome to the Jungle over the weekend.  Both pretty benign inoffensive films, easy enough ways to kill a few hours.  Franco's performance as Wiseau in Disaster Artist is pretty great, and you think he's going over the top until the credits roll a the end and they show side-by-side comparisons between scenes that he's recreated.  Jumanji is nowhere near as good as the original, but the cast works well together and some of the video game tropes are pretty funny like having NPCs in the movie.

Black Panther. Meh.

Reminded me of the Lion King.  I'm sure the BP comics pre-date the lion king movie, but that's the impression I got.

^That's the best review of Black Panther I've seen so far :)

I enjoyed it, a lot.  Unfortunately T'Challa's character was the least compelling of all of them.  The women were badass and way more interesting.

Watched The Shape of Water last night.  Wow, that film is a stunner.  Every part of it looks gorgeous.
