You might start this and think ?wah? but hang in until it gets going at the minute mark.

What must one have done wrong to have to put on such a costume?

I am thrilled to have found a capable female master watchmaker who will repair/overhaul my grandfather's mechanical wall clock with chiming movement for me, so that I can wind it up again every morning when I get up. (no, fortunately it's not a stereotypical Black Forest cuckoo clock, but a classic, simple antique that fits into modern living spaces)

Finally finding an RF Filter I have been looking for (For years) listed on Ebay at a price I can justify.

Also part of Ebay's Global Shipping Program, offering "fast" tracked shipping.

.... and from a seller with several thousand trades and 100% positive feedback.

(Now I wait for the "pot to boil"!)

Apologies for spoiling the fun, but I suspect this will turn into an Annoy thread post once you find out what the GSP is really like. Is it too late to ask them if they could send it direct?

Completing a small job on the house that I've been putting off for years because I'd put it in the too hard to do myself, too small to get someone to do it category.

But I'm sitting on my back deck now with a coffee looking up at the 6m of guttering that I've just replaced that has been cracked, leaking and over flowing since we bought the house.

Getting an email from Air NZ to say my one-up offer was accepted, even though the indicator suggested it was 'very weak' when i submitted the offer.

I stuck an NFC sticky tag (1NZ$) near the dashboard in my car, so that I only have to hold the unlocked smartphone briefly to start the direct navigation home via automated short command. Very convenient. :-)

After 14 years of "in progress", a series of events finally led to actually making progress on completing the hallway redecorating.

I had been waiting to replace the old style fuse board, complete with ceramic wired fuses as it was a cost I hadn't managed to save up for.  Then the oven decided to stop working and the new one needed some wiring work done, so I bit the bullet and got the sparky in to do both jobs.

So now I have a hallway with a shiny new recessed fuse board with up to date breakers and RCD's.

And I've just finished relining that wall, plastered, trimmed and ready for painting.

Good things take time right?

What would you pay for a mobile contract with 7GB data volume, LTE/4G, 50/35M dn/up, VoLTE, WiFi call, optional multi eSIMS (yes, for cellular watches), allnet phone & SMS flat, EU-roaming (in short: all whistles and bells except 5G) for 2 years?

The unbelievable offer for 6.99€ (11.78NZ$) per month I just couldn't refuse right now and the change was due anyway. My son and I looked at everything carefully beforehand and we couldn't find a catch. The whole tinker pack is happy now.

Awaiting 2 ordered, only 2.8mm thick rechargeable and AirTag compatible (except UWB) tracking cards for wallets. I was never interested in the ones you have to throw away after draining the battery after 1 or 2 years.
