We've lost her over a month ago, she was 16.

Dogs are great except that losing them really sucks.

I'm sorry for your loss. It sucks to lose any animal you have a close bond with.

Who was the winner?

Technically the cat, but the dog always thinks it's him.

here are my two cats Mathias (left) and Rasco.

sadly I found Mathias dead on the side of the road yesterday after being hit by a car.

i am devastated, he was my best buddy. He would have been 10 next year. I still remember the day my sister and I chose them from the pet store. He was perfect in every way.

Oh mate...  you have my deepest sympathies as well.  My old Tabby, George, was adopted as an adult from the SPCA.  He literally had a big black target on his side.  He was such a dumbarse and loved almost any attention, including flopping down in front of a dirty toddler and not even lifting his head if his tail was pulled.

He had a gammy tooth, and drooled when he purred.  I considered having it taken out, but just wasn't prepared to take the small chance of losing him with anaesthetic.

Oh dear - so sad - we feel your loss.

We also lost a cat, Alfie (All Loving Feline), when she was 4 yr to a bumper bar. Her sister, General, lived till 18 yr though.

Our 15 year old cat Skipper, who was a sister to Captain who passed in August 2017, was euthanised this morning.

She had had a month long illness of the left cheek area, ? Feline Fibrosarcoma Complex, which was impinging on the left eye socket, 2 drainage surgeries and one self induced bursting this week as well as 3 courses of 3 different antibiotics as at first it was thought to be just an aggressive abscess. Without expensive imaginary and histology we decided enough was enough for her. She was 15 next week and was going into renal failure and this week was becoming a little unsteady on her feet probably due to a build up of toxins. She and her sister were "Turkish Van" moggie cross.

We have buried her on top of her sister in our garden. Another statue painted in her likeness will be placed along side that of her sisters statue. (I will post later a picture)

Rest in peace Skipper and play nicely with your sister. 🐈

Well we are parents again.

Chela -  Common Roman title for Libra. (My star sign)  In ancient Greek times, this area of sky we know as Libra was occupied by the claws of the scorpion. The Greeks called this area Chelae, literally meaning ‘claws’.

Meaning = she who brings consolation, a pupil or disciple, eager to learn

Pronounced = Key La Chela (singular)

Born = 2nd December 2019 Weight as of 27/02/2020 = 1.2kg

Spica - Brightest star in constellation Virgo. (Partners star sign)

Meaning = Good fortune and Longevity

Pronounced = Spy Ka

Born = 2nd December 2019 Weight as of 27/02/2020 = 800gm (she was the runt of the litter of 3 [2 girls & 1 boy])
