Why even bother commenting on typos? There are so many. Don't blame them on AI either. It is certainly better than the struggling talking meat!

An NZH story today about road works on Meola Road, Auckland, says: “The work is part of a road improvement project which will include …. the raising of a section of Meola Rd by about 400m above the flood plain”.
That’s going to be mighty impressive - it will be 1-1/2 times the height of Rangitoto Island.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
Another NZH story today today says: "Buckingham Palace officials are regularly updating a plan of action for King Charles' forthcoming funeral after royal sources have revealed that the monarch’s condition is gradually declining".
So much for the 'royal sources' - as simultaneously reported by the Herald, the facts are that his health is quickly improving and he is shortly returning to active duty. 'Forthcoming' seems a very poor choice of word because it implies something that is certain and about to happen soon. That is clearly not the case here - IMO that word would be appropriate only if he had already died and his funeral was being planned.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
RNZ's garble is getting ridiculous. Here is today's winning headline:
'As most switch to mobile phones, the nation's copper network is slowly being phased out, with one big telco is planning to pull the plug year. '
