They are not guinea fowls, kiwis or keas, so they must be dodos - but who knows? 😇

I think it's time for you to come and visit us here in Aotearoa and meet some of the locals...😄

Do you think so? As cheeky as I am sometimes, I can't say for sure whether you wouldn't like to beat up this strange, weird German bird (me). I mean, it's not like I don't deserve it once or twice, but you'd definitely outnumber me! 😆

I dont know how many times it's happened but occasionally I'll misfire on the mouse when compiling a post and end up forwards or backwards on my browsing journey.

I am so pleased GZ stores my words in its' synapses till I'm ready to click post.

I virtually never compose messages in web page edit boxes, not so much because of mis-clicks but because of random web page errors and timeouts that lose all of your entered text. Edit offline in a text editor, then cut&paste into the edit box where it won't matter if the web page s**ts itself after you click submit.

Good advice, if I ever stray from the zone , I'll do that.

But why would I, what have they got that GZ doesn't?

The fireworks display at the Sky Tower filmed from angle that allowed the Auckland Harbour Bridge lights display.

They really did a great job. Best display I've seen in NZ ever I think. 6 months of planning.

Best of all I didn't have to leave the house at midnight to see it!

I have high hopes for 2023 if this is how it's starting!

Spring Cleaning makes the house less cluttered.

We cleaned out a section of pantry which contains drinks.

We have 9 bottles of white wine, 1 bottle of red, 3 bottles of champagne, a bottle of Gin, Rum, Vodka, Congnac, Whiskey and Port. All unopened except the Cognac.

We are teetotallers. Most of my family drink and all of them have less alcohol in the house than we do :)

I have just stocked up on the year's supply of red wine. 48 bottles. But for that, there are only 18 bottles of white wine and 24 bottles of rosee. We only drink tea when we're sick, which is almost never. My wife is also a heart surgeon and insists on one bottle for 2 people a week with dinner for medical reasons. Well, it can be so different - it's all a question of responsibility and dose.

Don't keep the wine too long. Most wine is sold for immediate consumption and doesn't improve in the bottle. A few years ago a friend decided to clean out her cupboard and came to a holiday gathering with 24 bottles. 14 had already turned into urine samples bypassing the usual need to drink them first.
