A Number of smiles today. I use cruise control while driving, so I am happily driving at 100.

Did a round trip to Taupo from Palmy.

1st smile: On the desert rd we saw a Corvette being winched onto a flat deck tow truck

2nd smile : nearing Turangi I head and saw the lights of a cop car, so I pulled over to th shoulder the let him through. The car (Falcon) behind me figured it was a chance to overtake me but they ran out of  space on the shoulder and had to stop for the cop car, so me and 6 more cars quite cheerfully passed him.

Coming back I saw an old guy chatting to the cops on a road works 30k area, I am guessing he was not doing 30k.

At Taihape got breathalysed , no problems for me, I thanked them for their time, and smiled at the guy having his keys taken off him by the police.

Even squeezed in a hot soak at Tukaanu hot pools which my back appreciated.

Got home and the wife had done some Baking and made some quiches for tea.

Flying Emirates BC to Madrid today for a month Home Exchange in Spain - then on to a two-month exchange in Hove, England.

Exciting even at our advancing years. Not religious people but we do count our blessings and do not take them for granted.

Lucky you will be there for Spring so not overly hot. Savour and enjoy.

It’s the middle of winter. You’re right getting down to freezing isn’t overly hot :)

I got rid of the last PoE injector from my network, all the access points are now off a common PoE switch which is UPS backed.

I am having a ridiculous amount of fun playing with a plastic Lego train I reconstituted for a friend's child. Now I don't want to give it back!

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I don't think you've done it right, it needs more testing.

The new Chai Dao knife in the kitchen. I have long dithered with me and now it's here. However, it will be the only Asian knife of the total 5+1 knives for cooking.

Had an appraisal done for our home, double glazing makes a big difference when you're comparing to other "similar" homes and it's pushed the value up more than the value of the install price.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

My daughter has been after led lights for her bedroom but when they arrived there was a tear in power trace. Much tears ensue.

Dug out my soldering iron for first time in many years, desoldered the power connector plug cut the led strip at next connection and reattached the plug and we have life!!!

Left it in her room awaiting cries of delight....
