When people say they will meet you at a specific time. To me the time you give is the time you meet up (Give or take a few minutes), not 30 minutes later.

Agree. Some people live by the standard: "If you important, they will wait."

I was told on arrival to New Zealand: - "..it is good enough to know in New Zealand what day is it today.."

Meeting at around "ish" seems to be a norm. That all adds to that unique relaxed life style when nobody seems to be in a rush ..or are they?

If that is the lifestyle - why every morning some people on State Highway 1 are so mad? Mainly small business branded vechicles. I could only guess they are trying to get to the workplace on time when you are waiting. (Sarcasm)

If I start thinking about them rushing to not make other people waiting...- such a relief..

Comparison is fine. Its the ones that then proceed to tell you how it was so much better back in the UK and how these parts of the world are so bad compared to there that annoy me. Mind you , they never seem to mention the UK banks when they are finding things to complain about in NZ. ;)

The inability to Airplay Sky Go, despite the fact that their Neon App allows it (as does Fanpass).

The same goes for TVNZ & TV3 On demand services.

And services such as these using Flash! Use something I can watch with my TV browser!

Sellers on TradeMe who specify a courier in their shipping and use someone else!

When I read an acronym in a post that I then need to Google to find out what it means.

Two on Geekzone this morning were OTOH and SWMBO.

Maybe I'm just behind the times?

Of course, none of those are acronyms. But I also hate texting abbreviations like the above.

Some of them can be overwhelming! I sometimes see "WTD" in the Offers forum, which *seems* to be a contraction of "wanted" rather than actually standing for something. More confusing was someone talking about "SWIM" the other day; something like "I want a new home theatre but SWIM won't allow it". It seems to be of a similar derivation to "SWMBO" (she who must be obeyed) but I never figured out what it stood for...

The good news is that I at least figured those ones out from context. "SMH" had me baffled for some time (shaking my head; my "default" reading was Sydney Morning Herald!)

I figured SWIM was supposed to be SWMBO but it had been auto-corrected.  I have heard it used for Someone Who Isn't Me, but that didn't seem to fit the context.  I've only used it personally for System-Wide Information Management.
