cgrew: Scary stuff.

That stuff reaffirms that the Internet is 98% rubbish.

Interesting statistic you've produced there, could you point out the 2% that's not rubbish...?

it's too far down for me to bother trying as crap always settles on the top.

Was that suppose to be some kind of famous cliched one liner? I can't tell.

Why observe discussions on this thread then?

gzt: Einstein was especially good at that part.

Thanks. He used to marvel at things that a lot of modern scientists today don't really acknowledge.

*edit typo*

Mindyou, I always sort of did like the Borg, think of the utility. If I get a neuro implant, can I get lasers too? What OS will I be running with the neuro implant? I'm kind of a fan of Linux personally, and think that it would work well for this kind of embedded computing. Apple users would obviously need to run something that could run iTunes so they could get their updates. Incidentally, what is the upgrade path like? Is it modular? I mean, when I got my I9000 I was king of the hill, now all my mates have dualies and I am #Loosing, I would hate for something like this to happen with my neural hardware - "Oh, thats scott, he's only running 11.2 pfft....)

That's a crazy vision.

I'd recommend giving this film a watch ^^^ No doubt people here will classify this as rubbish and that's okay. I'd have to admit though, it's interesting to imagine where mankind is headed with the vicious cycle of technology.

Really? In your opinion how is it a waste of time?

This is what I would consider a waste of time.

Who out there is going to allow their kids to idolize this occult abusing maniac? ^^^

Gradualism has increased immensely due to predictive programming. People would rather idolize degenerate TV shows or worry about the latest iPad2 then consider what we are faced with everyday of our lives.

The existance of something that goes beyond worldly knowledge, he often marvelled at the idea of the universe being created but not by a personal God as such.

He was a Pantheist so to speak.

Atleast put some emphasis on the matter. An example?

Or am I not worthy of your humble opinion.
