I watched Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse on the cruise ship I was on last month.

After struggling with it due to the movie being interrupted by a million people getting up and down and kids swimming in the pool and the sound being a bit off, I decided to watch it at home this past weekend.

I have to say, I actually really enjoyed it. At times, it was easy to forget the fact that it was an animated movie...unless of course Spider Pig is on screen!

Some good comedy moments and great action, but not one for migraine sufferers...a lot of loud music with strobe effects and flashing colours.

7/10 for me.

Interesting, that is whats put me off watching it, being animated. I will have to give it a try

Cant remember where I found this one, could have been this very thread, but Man From Earth - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0756683/

Bit of an intellectual film, its pretty much a group of people in a room talking the whole time ;) But kept me watching it :)

It's worth it.

There's not a lot of difference between animated and your average marvel superhero movie these days anyway.

Lion King 2019 - 7/10

Graphics are breathtaking, animations defy belief story is what you expect.

I didn't like the new soundtrack and that kinda reduced my enjoyment somewhat.

Some of the interpretations weren't to my preference.

Definitely worth seeing if only for the animation.

My only issue is that I was never really a fan of the original...BUT it was a Disney modern classic, so I am really on the fence about going to see this...I may have to wait for its digital release. I know that will reduce the wow factor from an animation perspective, but I'm just not sure I want to pay $13pp to see a movie I'm just not that invested in.

I read one review which basically said if you've seen the original, you've seen this one, just hold on for the bluray.

But everyone has mentioned the outstanding CGI. Think wife and kids are off to see it this weekend, I'll hold out.

Spiderman Homecoming.

Not bad for a Spiderman film.

Of all the Marvel heroes, Spidey is the one that always seems not to translate well to the screen. I think it because they will never allow Peter Parker to grow up. In every film, he never seems to progress towards adulthood.

School holidays so last week I took Miss 6 to see Toy Story 4. She loved it and today we went to see The Lion King and the CGI was awesome.

She preferred TS4.... what does she know

Just watched The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley (Documentry), The story of Elizabeth Holmes and her company Theranos and the deception and fraud that bought it down.

I would rate this a solid 9/10 , Very interesting and in my opinion well worth a watch.

Which is a shame because the original material of Peter Parker is that he's a science genius at the level of a Tony Stark / Reed Richards.  So he's like the ground level version of them.  The movies always make him out to be a bumbling awkward teenager.  The recent PS4 Spider-Man game totally gets Peter Parker right, bang on.  Wish they could take their lead from that version in the cinematic world.
