Just stumbled upon another annoyance:
People (especially those in "official" roles) who don't answer all your neatly stated questions in an email. They answer one (not necessarily the most important one either), and leave you guessing as to whether they are going to reply later with answers for the other questions, or whether you need to reply and repeat the unanswered questions. It really bugs me when I have spent a small amount of time making sure that my email is clear, logical, and easy to read, but others just dash off any old answer without pausing to think whether it's a good piece of communication...
Amazon recommending e-books to me that I have already purchased from them, using the Amazon account associated with the email they sent the recommendation to.
And
Amazon not alerting me when the latest release in series of books I have purchased from them becomes available.

I actually posted relevant note in the topic "what pleases you", i.e. "answered questions" :-)

And then discarding their butts on the ground, sometimes when there is a rubbish bin nearby. It's still littering, cigarette butts are not exempt!
-and also the ones who smoke in parking area intended for people with prams, not knowing they are making babies inhale that poisonous smoke.. arghhh
- and smokers who smoke under the No Smoking Area signs at hospitals.
A.
Smoking is just a trashy thing to do in a public place.
If I wandered down the footpath of a city spraying a fine mist of roundup behind me, people would get peeved off fast. Yet we tolerate cigarette smoke which is equally/more toxic.

Smoking ....
Someone here was annoyed with comparisons especially with other places they came from. Let's compare New Zealand with Spain and remember those who passed away because of the smoking.
In Spain (being there 15 times) locals were smoking non-stop on the beach. If you are on vacation from the city over polluted with industrial smoke (e.g. Moscow), your senses are mostly blocked and you will only feel the smoke if they are sitting close to you. You get used to the exposure and you may not been annoyed as much.
I've been here long enough (13 years) for my senses to come back. Air in NZ is most valuable thing I would not trade for anything else and I am annoyed with one and only smoker on Piha beach even if they are smoking 50 meters from me - I still can feel that. Rare, but annoying.
My father died from cancer. Was a smoker. WWII is what they said caused kids to smoke during the war - masked the hunger. Not an excuse today...
I finally thought of one: computer manufacturers who upgrade their products every few months, have hundreds and hundreds of different models, and don't offer meaningful support for the slightly earlier versions. (Are you listening, Acer?)

The Mediterranean diet Barcelona style - pork, nicotine and coffee!
My memory of visiting the beach down at the former Olympic village end of Barcelona is a golden sand clear water beach where I couldn't find a big enough gap between cigarette butts to put towel down - and it was winter. Oh and smoking in some restaurants. Gross.
My partner and I have between us lost 3 parents to smoking. Probably why I am so intolerant of other people's smoke.
E-cigs are a great innovation in that sense. Much less obnoxious to bystanders.
