I'm a bit puzzled as to how it's supposed to be used.

You hang it round your neck in place of a tie.

Seriously it isn’t supposed to be used, it is sold out to people who will be to embarrassed to admit they paid so much for a sock and will hide it.

From the Apple press release.

"Inspired by the concept of 'a piece of cloth,' its singular 3D-knitted construction is designed to fit any iPhone as well as all pocketable items."

Inspired by the concept of prestige-gouging

I like this YouTube comment.

Designed or inspired by Issey Miyake the guy that designed Steve Job's turtlenecks. Imo it would look great with the appropriate fashion knitwear. Also, if your clothing has no pockets then it is an essential accessory ; )

The puzzling part is Miyake died in 2022. Apple may have been sitting on this for a while.

I agree it would look great on Borat at the beach. Probably not the intended customer.

It’s now difficult to un-see Borat.

Imagine the looks if you walked into an important meeting with a bunch of Suits wearing a knitted iPhone cover. Thinking Wall Street and Michael Douglas.

Rumour is that they’re going to produce a 2D version for shallow iPhone users - and those who like to keep a low profile.

Wait till you see JB Hifi where you open a product link and the breadcrumbs are not even clickable. FFS what a lame thing to do to people you want to sell things to.
