Journeyman:

The Herald's hilarious special subscription offer:

... is available for $99 for the first year.

Even taking into consideration that you can cancel any time, I still wouldn't pay 50cents a week for the Herald! 😂

And they assume? that people will renew an annual subscription after paying for it for a year!

That despite my reservations to the purchase of MightyApe by Kogan, things seem to be pretty stable and I haven't noticed a significant drop in service.

If it's on auto-renew then yes, that's pretty likely. People stick with defaults/the status quo, this has been heavily researched with things like organ donors where you can change a country's organ donor level from (say) 5% to 95% just by making that the default on driver's licenses.

A relatively short wait time on phone to VF and despite being overseas helpdesk, still managed to sort my admittedly simple problem quickly and efficiently.

The magical connection that my daughter has with one of our kittens. They are just so intune. We are a family of animal lovers, but there is something quite fantastic about the way this cat interacts with Miss 11. He won't do it for anyone else. She even sleep pats him!

It's all just so heart warming

Finding out Meatstock Sydney is on during my trip to Sydney!

Yummm, animals. Heart warming, and also tummy warming.

Finally getting a call from the Project Manager that the house rebuild is about to get moving again.

Dreading dealing with the insurance company again about getting paid for accommodation, but it's just such a relief to know that actual progress is about to start...in about 2 months' time.

More a "smile" than a "Ukraine": Ukraine reported that it shot down a Russian hypersonic missile, specifically a Kinzhal, which is actually an Iskander with the word "Iskander" painted out and "Kinzhal" painted over the top. It's launched from a Mig31, so they include the range of the Mig in the claimed range of the Kinzhal because the Iskander itself is quite short-range.

So Russia touted its fake hypersonic missile and Ukraine called their bluff by publicising the shooting down of said fake hypersonic missile.

I hear that King Charles has recently joined GZ.

His first post should be: [Anoint] Something small that really anoints me.

Or in the W.T.F. section, if the biros or fountain pen doesn't work again! 😇

Despite the torrential rain, our new(ish) gutters are doing a stellar job! Best $17k we ever spent, I'd say.
